The following incidents occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Central Command

26-121927 (Domestic Violence - Firearm Arrest): 700 Block of 29th St at 2129 hours.

Officers responded to reports of a domestic violence incident where the suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspect fled prior to police arrival, but thanks to the keen eye of Sacramento County Sheriff Office’s helicopter (STAR), the air unit located and directed ground units to where the suspect was. The suspect was safely detained, and a loaded handgun was recovered. The suspect was arrested for related charges.

East Command

26-121401 (Burglary - Arrest): 2300 Block of American River Dr at 1235 hours.

Officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress. Prior to police arrival, bystanders were able to grab and hold onto the suspect until police arrived. The suspect was ultimately detained by our officers and arrested on burglary-related charges.
