The information provided allows for a timely snapshot of significant events in our community. The crimes reported here are preliminary investigations, taken in the field by patrol officers, and may or may not be assigned to a detective for further investigation. The information provided may be found after further investigation to be incorrect or false. The following incidents occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

North Command

26-016880 (Suspicious Circumstances): 600 Block Santiago Ave at 0409 hours.

Officers responded to reports of a subject armed with a knife, putting it to their neck. Responding officers located the subject who was not compliant. Officers attempted to get the subject to put the knife down and peacefully surrender. The subject did not and eventually lit a trailer on fire. Eventually, the suspect was safely taken into custody after less lethal munitions were deployed. No other injuries were reported. 

South Command

26-016850 (Theft-Arrest): 1600 Block Broadway at 0147 hours.

Officers responded to reports of a stolen bicycle. Officers located the bike and the suspect who stole it. The suspect was arrested for related charges.

26-017677 (Subject Stop - Arrest): Franklin Blvd & 10th Ave at 2314 hours.

Officers conducted a stop of a subject on a bicycle. The subject was determined to be a suspect in an earlier robbery and also had outstanding warrants. Officers arrested the suspect for related charges.
