The information provided allows for a timely snapshot of significant events in our community. The crimes reported here are preliminary investigations, taken in the field by patrol officers, and may or may not be assigned to a detective for further investigation. The information provided may be found after further investigation to be incorrect or false. Certain details of these incidents have been removed due to potential follow up investigation into the incident and/or for privacy rights.

Latest Activities

The following incidents occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026.

North Command

26-213761 (Medical Aid): 3600 Block N Freeway Blvd at 1847 hours.

Officers responded to reports of a subject down and not breathing. Officers recognized what appeared to be an overdose emergency and quickly administered medical aid and Narcan to the subject. The Narcan was effective and subject regained consciousness. The subject was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. 

26-213920 (Subject Stop - Firearm Arrest): 400 Block Haggin Ave at 2301 hours.

Officers contacted a subject matching the description of a suspect on a call for service. During the investigation, officers recovered an illegally possessed, loaded firearm and arrested the suspect on related charges.  

Central Command

26-213103 (Assault-Arrest): 1500 Block 21st Ave at 0650 hours.

Officers responded to reports of an assault with a metal pole. The victim sustained minor injuries. Responding officers searched the area for the suspect. Officers located the suspect nearby and he was arrested on related charges. 

South Command

26-213003 (Subject Stop - Arrest): Mack Rd & Valley Hi Dr at 0045 hours.

Officers contacted a subject who fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was detained and found in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia, with prior drug convictions. A records check revealed the subject was an outstanding robbery suspect from an outside agency. 

26-213912 (Vehicle Collision Investigation): 3200 Block Cosumnes River Blvd at 2255 hours.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision where both parties involved sustained moderate injuries and were transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. They are currently in stable condition.
