The following incidents occurred between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022.
22-225766 (Shooting - Investigation): 2200 Block of Coroval Dr at 2052 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting. One victim, a female adult, was located with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her leg. She was transported to a hospital for treatment. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. A crime report was generated.
22-224993 (ShotSpotter - Investigation): North Sacramento at 0302 hours.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation. Evidence of a shooting was located at the scene however no injuries were reported. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. A crime report was generated.
22-225323 (Shooting - Investigation): Norwood Bypass / Norwood Ave at 1250 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting. Evidence of a shooting was located at the scene however no injuries were reported. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. A crime report was generated.
22-225824 (Fatal Collision - Investigation): Jibboom St / Railyards Blvd at 2157 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. At the scene, officers located an adult male with serious injuries. He was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the vehicle was contacted, and impairment is not believed to be a factor. Traffic detectives responded and the exact circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
22-225234 (Weapons Disturbance - Investigation): 2400 Block of Broadway at 1104 hours.
Officers responded to a report of a subject who brandished a firearm. The suspect threatened the victim with a firearm and then fled the area. A crime report was generated.
22-224974 (ShotSpotter - Investigation): South Sacramento at 0232 hours.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation. A vehicle and residence appeared to have been struck by gunfire, however no injuries were reported. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. A crime report was generated.
