UPDATE - Thanks the tedious and dedicated work of our Major Collision Investigators, our detectives were able to identify, locate and arrest 41-year-old Geoffrey Haenggi of Sacramento on felony hit-and-run charges, as well as numerous firearm related charges. Haenggi was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.

UPDATE - The Sacramento Police Department is pleased to announce that our investigators have identified and arrested a suspect in this case. 18-year-old Davian Sida of Sacramento was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide related charges. This swift arrest would not be possible without the patrol officers that responded and secured the scene, the Crime Scene Investigators that processed the scene, the Homicide Detectives that were up throughout the night investigating this case, and ultimately our apprehension team that took Sida into custody. UPDATE: Through unwavering follow-up and investigative efforts, detectives identified and arrested an additional suspect in this case. 18-year-old John Cruz of Sacramento was taken into custody and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide related charges. We would like to thank our specialty units including the Career Criminal Apprehension Team (CCAT), North and South area Violent Crime Reduction (VCR), East Problem Oriented Policing (POP), and the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Teams for their assistance in the safe apprehension of this suspect.
