On Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at 8:30 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department arrested 43-year-old Chu Vue on a warrant for computer access violations. The warrant issued was for violations of 502 (c) (1) and 502 (c) (2) P.C.
The computer access violations were discovered during the course of a homicide investigation into the murder of Steve Lo. Vue is being charged with allegations that he searched through computer systems for names similar to “Steve Lo” and later used that information to try and locate Steve Lo.
Consistent with Department policy and in an effort to maintain the integrity of this or any other investigation, further details cannot be released.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information regarding this homicide to contact Crime Alert, at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000. An additional $50,000 reward is being offered by the Lo Family and the California Correctional Peace Officer’s Association.
