The Sacramento Police Department has issued arrest warrants on 30-year-old Billy Jackson, 31-year-old Hosie Houston, and 28-year-old Jason Maldonado for the murder of Wilbur Jackson III. All three suspects are currently in custody for un-related crimes.

On Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at 1:09 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to 7424 Franklin Boulevard to investigate a report of a subject who had been assaulted. The victim, 40-year-old Wilbur Jackson III, was transported to the hospital and went into a coma. Jackson remained in a coma until May of 2008 when he died.

Homicide Detectives were assigned the case to investigate and were able to locate witnesses who provided information leading to the identification of the suspects. Detectives believe the assault was a result of an argument over a financial debt. The argument escalated resulting in Jackson being beaten into a coma and later dying. Jason Maldonado has already been formally charged for murder. Billy Jackson and Hosie Houston currently have arrest warrants for murder and will be formally charged at a later time.
