As we prepare to celebrate the Super Bowl with family and friends, the Sacramento Police Department wants to remind everyone to drink responsibly. The police department will have extra officers on duty throughout the weekend, looking for drunk drivers.

We are committed to traffic safety and we want to be clear to all drivers – “Drunk Driving, Over the Limit, Under Arrest.” We encourage the use of designated drivers. We also encourage the public to call 911 to report drunk drivers.

Funding for these patrols was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
