On Tuesday, February 9, 2009, the Sacramento Police Department’s Sexual Assault detectives arrested 47 year-old Daniel Caldwell on eight counts of Lewd and Lascivious acts with minors. Caldwell was arrested at 1560 Grand Avenue, Big D’s BBQ.

Based on the investigation, detectives believe that Daniel Caldwell sexually assaulted and/or inappropriately touched at least eight different female juveniles over an eight year period from 2000 through 2008. Caldwell committed these acts when the children were in his care or custody either out camping, sleeping over his house, or while employed at his business. Caldwell’s victims ranged between the ages of seven through seventeen.

The investigation in ongoing, Detectives would like to speak to anyone else who may have been victimized by Caldwell.
