Police are asking for the community’s help in identifying a home invasion suspect based on a composite sketch.
On Thursday, February 5, 2009, two men forced their way into a Land Park home in the 4400 block of Mead Avenue. The two elderly residents were home during the intrusion. Suspect #2 struck one of the victims, a 88-year-old male, in the head with an object causing moderate injuries. Both of the victims were kept in a room for several hours, while the suspects ransacked the home. The suspects got away with a small amount of cash, a handgun, and other miscellaneous items.
The two suspects are described as follows: #1- male, White, 30’s, 5’8”, medium build, short blonde hair that was very neat, all black clothing, black gloves, black shoes with wrap around stitching on the top area #2- male, possibly Hispanic, adult, 6’0, 200 lbs, dark hair, two tone jacket, and gloves.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or (800) AA-Crime. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000
