The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect who broke into Schatz and Krum Automotive (8460 Belvedere Avenue). He got away with approximately $30,000 worth of specialty tools.
On February 13, 2009, the suspect broke the window of a vacant business next door to Schatz and Krum Automotive. Another suspect pulled up to the back of the vacant business with a U-Haul truck. The suspects then cut through the wall and entered the automotive repair shop. They loaded up the U-Haul truck and got away with approximately $30,000 work of specialty tools.
Surveillance footage reveals the suspect arriving in a gray 96-98 Chevrolet Z-71 pick-up truck with a lumber rack on the back. The suspect appears to be a White male adult, wearing a black jacket, grey pants and white shoes. He had short dark hair with a receding hairline.
The U-Haul truck was described as having New Hampshire State plates and a distinctive graphic on the side (see attached). A description of the U-Haul driver is not available.

The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or (800) AA-Crime. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
