Detectives are investigating an early morning homicide that occurred near Altos and Eleanor Avenue.
On Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 2:25 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to Altos and Eleanor Avenue on a large fight where gun shots had been heard. Officers arrived finding two victims in a nearby apartment complex. One victim had been shot in the upper body and later died from those injuries at U.C. Davis Medical Center. The second victim had injuries to his upper body from being in a physical altercation. At this time, the first victim is being identified as a male Hispanic in his 20's and the second victim is a male Hispanic in his 30's.
It is unknown at this time what prompted the fight and shooting. Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators continue to investigate the crime.
