The Sacramento Police Department is asking for help in identifying two suspects. The suspects are wanted in a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department home invasion that has similar descriptions to a home invasion that occurred in the city. Police are also hoping that someone will have information on an unique stolen gun from the Meed Avenue home invasion.
On Thursday, February 5, 2009, two men forced their way into a Land Park home in the 4400 block of Mead Avenue. The two elderly residents were home during the intrusion. Suspect #2 struck one of the victims, a 88-year-old male, in the head with an object causing moderate injuries. Both of the victims were kept in a room for several hours, while the suspects ransacked the home. The suspects got away with a small amount of cash, a handgun, and other miscellaneous items.
The two suspects are described as follows: #1- male, White, 30's, 5'8", medium build, short blonde hair that was very neat, all black clothing, black gloves, black shoes; #2- male, Hispanic, adult, 6'0, 200 lbs, dark hair, two-tone jacket, and gloves.
A unique gun was stolen from this home invasion. The gun is described as a 1942 German Luger.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is investigating a home invasion that occurred on Sunday, January 11, 2009, where two elderly residents living on Rhine River Court were robbed and a wallet was taken. Detectives determined the victim's credit card was used at a Quik Stop convenience store on Antelope Road in Citrus Heights shortly after the robbery. The store's surveillance camera captured the images of the two subjects using the victim's credit card, who also matched the description of the robbery suspects.
One of the suspects is described as a white male adult in his 20's, 5'7" to 5'10" tall with blonde hair. The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20's with short brown hair. The suspects were driving in a forest green Dodge pick-up truck with oversize tires.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip by texting to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
