The Sacramento Police Department has charged Alex Brown, David Carrera, and Terry Alexander with the 2006 murder of James Ramirez. All three are currently incarcerated in the Sacramento County Jail on a different case, pending jury trial.
On January 3, 2006, at 4:57 a.m., officers responded to 4555 Francis Court regarding a shooting, where they discovered the body of 18-year-old, James Ramirez.
The Sacramento Police Department's Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation Units responded to the scene. Based on their investigation, they determined that the suspects forced their way into the home of two male victims at 18th Avenue and 21st Street. The suspects kidnapped both victims from their residence and drove them to the Francis Court address, where they shot and killed victim Ramirez. The suspects left victim Ramirez at Francis Court and dropped the other victim off in the 2100 block of 15th Avenue.
Follow-up investigation has revealed that Brown, Carrera, and Alexander were responsible for this crime.
