Many people have a pile of important documents and work papers they no longer need and want to dispose of them safely. The Sacramento Police Department, the Citizens' Crime Alert Reward Program, and Cintas Corporation are partnering up to offer a free document shred day on Saturday, April 18, 2009. This event will be held in the parking lot of the Public Safety Center, 5770 Freeport Boulevard, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The general public and businesses are welcome. There is a limit of 4 banker's boxes full of documents (30-40 pounds per box) per person. The public can view the destruction of their material via a mounted camera located on the outside of a Cintas truck.
Donations will be accepted for the Crime Alert Reward Program.
