On Monday, April, 20, 2009, an 18-year-old female reported she was walking near the intersection of Natomas Crossing and Sparrow Drive when a man attempted to kidnap her by force.
The Sacramento Police Department investigated the allegation. After a full and thorough investigation, the report was determined to be false.
Kidnappings are very serious crimes and the first 24 hours are critical to solving the case. That is why law enforcement agencies devote a lot of resources to the investigations as well as reaching out to the community for awareness and assistance.
We would like to remind the community that kidnappings can occur. It is important to keep the following safety tips in mind: walk with others, keep alert to what is going on around you, and keep an eye out for suspicious activity within your communities.
