The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a brazen burglar. Detectives hope that someone will recognize him and turn him in (See surveillance photo below).
On Friday, April 24, 2009, the suspect entered the victim's apartment (333 J Street / The Wong Center) and ransacked the victim's bedroom while the victim was home, watching television in her living room. At one point, the suspect entered the living room, at which time the victim screamed. The suspect fled with a briefcase containing personal documents, jewelry, and bank account information. The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras as he was leaving the building.
The suspect was described as a male Hispanic adult, thin, with a shaved head. He was wearing a collared shirt under a blue sweater, and dark pants.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip by texting to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
