Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Sio Meng Lai.
On Monday, November 26, 2007, at 9:53 p.m., 48-year-old Sio Meng Lai was gunned down in front of his home (2100 block of 15th Street). Despite an exhaustive effort by Sacramento Police Department homicide detectives, the investigation has yielded few leads and remains unsolved. Detectives hope that this reward will encourage those with information to come forward.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip by texting to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for an additional reward of up to $1,000.
