On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at 5:18 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 600 block of 22nd Street regarding a possible dead body. Officers arrived and found the body of a deceased adult male inside of the residence with upper body trauma.
The victim was located after family members became concerned that they had not heard from him in some time. They contacted a neighbor and requested they check on the victim. The neighbor went to the house and found the victim dead.
The Sacramento Police Department's Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation. The investigation is on-going and no further details are being provided at this time. The victim's identity has not been confirmed as of yet.
