On Monday, July 20, 2009, at 4:39 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to 631 Garden Highway on a female who had been shot.  Officers arrived and found 26-years-old Tersha Brown, who appeared to have died from a gunshot wound to her head.  Officers detained the victim's boyfriend 31-year-old Demario Richard Wiggins.  

Homicide and Crime Scene Investigators responded and took over the scene.  Based on the investigation, detectives concluded that Demario Wiggins shot and killed his girlfriend after having an argument. 

Demario Wiggins was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on a murder charge.
