The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.
On Monday, August 24, 2009, at 9:39 a.m., a man entered the Wells Fargo Bank (525 J Street) and requested to speak with the bank manager. During the conversation with the manager, the suspect demanded money and made a threat at which time the manager handed over a large amount of cash. The suspect then fled on foot.
The suspect was described as a male White adult in his late 20's or early 30's. He is about 6'0" in height and weighs approximately 175 pounds. He had short dark hair and a bleached goatee that was described as appearing fake. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue and white plaid short-sleeve button-up shirt, brown cowboy boots and a white or tan hat with a logo on the front. See photo below.
The FBI is investigating related robberies in Northern California and in Washington State.
