The Sacramento Police Department arrested 19-year-old Priscilla Ramirez for the murder of Deshawn Holloway and Everett Taylor.
On July 21, 2009, at 10:14 p.m., the Police Department responded to Seavey Circle near 5th Street regarding a shooting. Officers arrived and found 35-year-old Deshawn Holloway dead at the scene from gun shot wounds. A second victim, 28-year-old Everett Taylor was transported from the scene to U.C. Davis Medical Center in critical condition. Taylor died the next morning from his injuries.
The Sacramento Police Department's Homicide and Crime Scene Investigators responded and took over the investigation. Based on the investigation, detectives believe that suspects Phillip Gonzales and Michael Armstrong went to Seavey Circle looking for Everett Taylor. The suspects believed that Taylor had mistreated Priscilla Ramirez. Priscilla Ramirez is Gonzales' cousin. The suspects confronted Taylor and Holloway. The confrontation turned physical and at one point, one of the suspects shot the victims. Detectives believe that Ramirez had prompted the two male suspects to confront Everett Taylor.
On July 30, 2009, Phillip Gonzales was arrested at Police Headquarters without incident on murder charges. Michael Armstrong was arrested after he turned himself in at Police Headquarters on August 2, 2009.
On September 24, 2009, at 5:25 p.m., Priscilla Ramirez was arrested in the 7200 block of Jerry Way without incident and booked into jail for murder.
