This Saturday, the Sacramento Police Department and the North Sacramento community are hosting the second annual Cops & Community Celebration.
The celebration recognizes the continued partnership between the Police Department and community of North Sacramento to make it a better place to live, work, and play. The celebration also is an opportunity to meet your neighbors, find out about your neighborhood watch groups and associations.
Chief Rick Braziel believes that "without community support and involvement we can not do our job effectively. We would like to thank all those who are working to make their neighborhoods a safer place and invite those who have not been involved to start participating."
A celebration would not be a complete without food and activities so their will be both in big supply. The Cops &Community Celebration will include free hot dogs, hamburgers, snow cones, car seat information, face painting, jump houses, tours of the police station, k-9 demonstration, Nascar race car, children's fingerprinting, Kids Make-it workshop (courtesy of Home Deport), and booths with crime prevention and community information.
The Police Department would like to thank all those who helped coordinate, sponsor, and donate to make this event possible.
The event will be held at 3550 Marysville Boulevard (William J. Kinney Police Facility) from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Any media inquiries regarding this event should be made to Captain Daniel Hahn at (916) 719-9386.
