Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person, or persons responsible for the October 31, 2008 murder Colin Reid. Victim Reid was only 18-years-old at that time and the father of a 6-month old baby.
On Friday, October 31, 2008, at 8:28 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 800 block of Lampasas Avenue regarding a subject who had been shot. Officers arrive and located victim Reid who had been fatally shot.
The Sacramento Police Department's Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to the scene. Investigators determined that victim Reid was standing in front of his residence when a suspect approached and shot him. The suspect fled the scene on foot. He was described as an Asian male, 16-19 years-old, 5'6" - 5'8" in height, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
Investigators hope that the reward money being offered will motivate those with information to come forward.
