Increase of Residential Burglaries

The Sacramento Police Department is actively working an increase of residential burglaries in South Sacramento.

Between October 27 thru November 2, 2009, Officers responded to 15 residential burglaries in the Greenhaven and Pocket neighborhoods.  The suspect(s) are entering primarily through the side garage doors; however, in a few cases the suspect(s) have entered through windows. The burglaries are occurring from 6:30 a.m. to as late as 10:40 p.m.  On two burglaries a suspect was seen and described as dark skinned male, 5'10", 200 lbs and a male Black, 17 years old, skinny build.

The Sacramento Police Department has deployed additional resources to the increase of burglaries.  We are encouraging the community to be vigilant on calling in suspicious activity.  The burglars we are catching are a direct result of community members calling in and reporting activity that they feel is suspicious in nature.

The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime or this person, to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES).  Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
