The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the community's help in solving an increase of burglaries to area dry cleaners and surrounding businesses.
Since December 15, 2009, there have been 14 business burglaries primarily involving dry cleaners. The suspects drive up, one suspect gets out of the car, smashes the windows of the front door, steals cash, and then both flee the scene. The suspects are committing the crime in the early morning hours.
The following are locations of the businesses victimized:
December 15- 4700 block J St
December 24 thru 26- 7300 block of Greenhaven Dr, 7600 block of Greenhaven Dr
December 25 thru 26- 2000 block of 4th Ave
December 26- 4800 block Freeport Blvd, 300 block Florin Rd, 7300 block of Greenhaven Dr, 6400 block of Riverside Blvd
December 28- 4100 block of H St, 1200 block Alhambra Blvd, 5700 block Folsom Blvd (two businesses), and 5800 block of H St
The attached photo is of a suspect vehicle that is believed to be a 4-door dark hatchback with chrome rims. The vehicle is possibly a Chevrolet HHR. One suspect is described as a male, 6'0, 200 lbs, wearing dark clothing.
