The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 53-year-old Christopher Koppe in connection with an early morning homicide.
On February 4, 2010, at 1:09 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 2700 block of Muir Way regarding a possible dead body. The caller reportedly arrived at her residence and found her roommate, a 24-year-old man, unresponsive. Officers arrived and located the victim inside the residence with upper body trauma. The Sacramento Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officers detained Christopher Koppe, who was on-scene and also lives at the residence.
The Sacramento Police Department's Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to investigate. Based on their investigation, detectives believe that the victim and Christopher Koppe were involved in an argument. At one point during the argument, Christopher Koppe stabbed the victim.
Christopher Koppe was arrested for murder and booked into the Sacramento County Jail.
