The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 24-year-old Nicholas Koppe for murder. Koppe's father, Christopher Koppe, was also arrested for the same crime.
On February 4, 2010, at 1:09 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 2700 block of Muir Way regarding a possible dead body. The caller arrived at her residence and found her roommate, a 24-year-old man, unresponsive. Officers arrived and located the victim inside the residence with upper body trauma. The Sacramento Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officers detained Christopher Koppe, who was on-scene and also lived at the residence.
The Sacramento Police Department's Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigations Unit responded to investigate. Based on their investigation, detectives believe that the victim and Christopher Koppe were involved in an argument. At one point during the argument, Christopher Koppe stabbed the victim. After additional investigation by detectives, it was found that Nicholas Koppe was also involved in the dispute and participated in the actions that led to the victim's death.
On February 4, 2010, Christopher Koppe was arrested for murder. Today, Nicholas Koppe was also arrested for murder.
