The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that occurred last night in the area of Franklin Boulevard near Calvine Road.
On February 23, 2010, at 6:30 p.m., an 18 years-old-female, was walking home on Franklin Boulevard just south of Calvine Road when she was grabbed by a suspect. The suspect took her to a bike trail that had a large amount of shrubbery. The victim then noticed a second suspect who began to go through her personal property. The first suspect sexually assaulted the victim before both ran from the scene, taking the victim's property.
The suspects are described as being male Blacks in their 20's with one wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
The Police Department is urging community members and commuters in the area to be vigilant in reporting suspicious activity. If possible do not walk alone and always be aware of your surrounding.
