The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the public's help. Detectives need to speak with anyone who may have information on two separate incidents of sexual assault. It is uncertain at this time if these two cases are related.
On Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the victim, a 19-year-old female, was walking in the area of Franklin Boulevard, near Calvine Road when she was approached by two male suspects. One of the suspects grabbed her from behind and dragged her into a nearby field where she was sexually assaulted. Suspect #1 was described as a male Black adult in his early 20's. He was about 5'7" in height with a medium build. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood. Suspect #2 was only described as a male Black adult.
On Saturday, March 20, 2010, at approximately 11:49 p.m., the victim, an 18-year-old female, was walking in the area of Florin Road, near Loma Verde Way when she was approached by a male suspect. The suspect dragged her into a nearby parking lot (2300 block of Florin Road) where he sexually assaulted her. The suspect was described as a male Black adult in his 20's. He was about 5'10" in height with a heavy build. He was wearing a white jacket or sweatshirt with a green stripe on the sleeve.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
