The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a home invasion where the suspects shot and killed one person.
On March 26, 2010, at 11:19 p.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of River Plaza Drive on a person who had been shot. Officers arrived finding a 26-year-old male Hispanic who had been shot and was declared deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded. Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believe that two male victims were inside their apartment when two armed suspects entered. The victim's friend arrived at the apartment, interrupting the suspects as they were committing the home invasion. The suspects shot the friend and fled on foot.
The suspects are described as male Blacks, late teens to early twenties, wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, and blue jeans.
