Many people have piles of important documents and small electronics they no longer need and wish they could dispose of safely. The Citizens' Crime Alert Reward Program has the answer to clear out that clutter.
The Sacramento Police Department and the Citizens' Crime Alert Reward Program are partnering up with E-Waste Recovery Systems and Cintas Corporation to offer a free document shred and e-waste disposal day on Saturday, April 17, 2010. This event will be held in the parking lot of the Public Safety Center, 5770 Freeport Boulevard, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The general public and businesses are welcome. There is a limit of four Bankers boxes full of documents (30-40 pounds per box) per person. This is a great opportunity to protect your confidential information on important documents and properly dispose of them.
You can recycle unwanted computers, monitors, televisions, radios, printers, cell phones, scanners, DVD players, electrical cords, fax machines and VCR's. Unfortunately, we cannot accept batteries, household appliances, or light bulbs.
Donations will be accepted for the Crime Alert Reward Program.
