The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the community's help to solve a fatal hit-and-run accident from 2008.
On Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at 9:46 p.m., a 73-year-old man was struck and killed as he attempted to cross the intersection of 16th St and N St. The victim was in the crosswalk and had the right of way at the time he was hit. The driver did not stop and continued traveling north on 16th St.
The driver of the vehicle was described as a male White adult. The vehicle may have been a white, late 90's, Ford F150 long bed pick-up truck. It was described as having a lumber rack and a tool box near the front cab. Investigators believe the truck may have minor damage to the right front passenger side, grill, or hood.
