The Sacramento Police Department has arrested three men in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Marque Johnson.
On March 17, 2010, at 7:00 a.m., officers responded to Summersdale Way, near Mack Road, regarding a report of a subject shot. The victim, 17-year-old Marque Johnson, was located suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
The investigation revealed that Marque Johnson was walking to school the morning of the shooting. He was confronted by the three suspects, 18-year-old Robert Hunt, 18-year-old Kalief Taylor, and 18-year-old Marquice Wallace, at which time an altercation ensued. During the altercation, Marque Johnson was shot. The motive for this crime appears to be gang related. Information gathered during the investigation led to the identity of the three suspects.
All three suspects were already in custody on different charges at the time of their arrest and were additionally booked for murder.
