The Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento Police Activities League (PAL) is proud to announce the grand opening of the Oak Park PAL branch and you are invited to attend.
On Saturday, May 15, 2010, from 11:00 to 3:00 p.m., the board members of the Sacramento PAL and local police officers will be present at the Oak Park PAL administrative office for a "meet and greet" and to disseminate information about the program. The PAL Administrative office is located at 3555 3rd Avenue, inside the Woman's Civic Improvement Center. Light refreshments and hotdogs for the kids will be served.
The Sacramento Police Activities League is a community-based program providing healthy activities for kids, building self-esteem and promoting teamwork with police officers. Sacramento PAL will offer athletic, educational, and enrichment programs for local youths.
Sacramento Police Chief Rick Braziel said, "I'm extremely pleased that PAL will be part of our community once again. I'm committed to helping our youth by being a PAL."
