The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the early morning murder of a 39-year-old man.
On June 5, 2010, at 1:40 a.m., officers received a call of gun shots heard near Northgate Boulevard and West El Camino Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a 39-year-old man who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Based on the preliminary investigation, the victim drove to the convenience store parking lot with another person. As they were sitting in their car, a male approached. The victim and the male suspect had a conversation. The suspect then shot the victim. The motive for the shooting is still unknown at this time.
The suspect is described as a male Black, 30-40's years old, 5'11-6'2, 180-210 lbs, wearing all dark clothing.
