The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the murder of a 23-year-old male after a fight turned deadly.
On June 19, 2010, at 1:37 a.m., officers were dispatched to 2000 block of Q Street on a stabbing. Officers arrived and found an unconscious 23-year-old male on the sidewalk and began to perform CPR. Sacramento Fire Department responded and declared the victim deceased at the scene. A second victim, male 32-years-old, was located and transported to an area hospital with non- life threatening stab wounds.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded. Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed that the 23-year-old victim got into an argument with three male suspects at the bar. The argument turned physical outside of the bar at which time the victim was stabbed. The second victim was stabbed as he attempted to break up the fight. The suspects fled the area.
The three suspects are described as male Hispanics, 20-30 years old, 5'7", 200 lbs.
