The Sacramento Police Department arrested 20-year-old Everett Quinn for the death of his two month old baby.
On May 19, 2009, at 11:38 p.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of Mack Road regarding a baby that was vomiting blood. The baby was taken to an area hospital where he fought for his life until July 27, 2009 when he died.
Preliminary investigation showed that Quinn was caring for his baby while the mother of the child was showering. The baby began to vomit blood at which time Fire Department personnel were called to respond.
Later medical findings indicate that the baby died from brain injuries caused from blunt force trauma or being shaken. Based on the information gathered, detectives believe that Quinn caused the injuries that resulted in his baby's death.
On July 21, 2010, an arrest warrant was issued for Everett Quinn on the charge of murder. At approximately 5:30 p.m., detectives arrested Quinn without incident.
