The Sacramento Police Department is releasing a composite sketch of a man who attacked a woman with the intent to sexually assault her. Detectives hope that someone will recognize him and come forward with information needed to identify him.
On Friday, August 13, 2010, the adult female victim was inside her home near Sandcastle Way and Seamist Drive. Shortly after 11:30 p.m., she was alone in her bedroom when she heard noises near her back door. She then heard an unfamiliar man make a sexual comment to her. As the victim turned towards his direction, the suspect physically assaulted her by punching and kicking her. The victim screamed for help. The suspect suddenly stopped the attack and ran out of the house.
The suspect was described as a male Black adult in his 20's. He was about 6'2" in height and weighed 200 pounds. He was wearing a black beanie cap, a red t-shirt and blue jeans.
The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this crime to contact Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
