The Sacramento Police Department is proud to participate in the annual memorial march, hosted by the National Black Police Association, in memory of fallen officers.
On Thursday, August 19, 2010, at 6:00 p.m., the march will begin at the Oak Park Convention Center located at 3425 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Sacramento, CA. It will conclude at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church located at 3996 14th Ave., Sacramento, CA. There will be a memorial service at the church at 7.00 p.m.
The 38th Annual National Education and Training Conference hosted by the National Black Police Association is being held during the week of August 15 through August 21, 2010. Officers throughout the country, and from around the world, are here attending the conference and will participate in the march. The march is held in memory of those officers who have paid the ultimate price.
Everyone is welcome to observe the march or attend the memorial service. Please note that traffic in the area of the march will be impacted.
