The Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento Police Activities League (PAL) is proud to announce the inaugural 2010 Fitness Boot Camp Award Ceremony.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at Jedediah Smith Elementary School (in the multi-purpose room). The school is located at 401 McClatchy Way, Sacramento, CA 95818.
The 2010 Fitness Boot Camp was a six-week long program in which SAC PAL kids attended two days per week, three hours a day. The program focused on physical fitness as well as developing the "PAL Pillars of Character" which included self esteem, honesty, integrity, fairness and justice. The kids were put through drill and ceremony practice and a variety of sports and games. The camp instructors consisted of Sacramento police officers and physical fitness trainers who volunteered their time to this program.
The Sacramento Police Activities League is a community-based program providing healthy activities for kids, building self-esteem and promoting teamwork with police officers. SAC PAL offers educational and enrichment programs for local youths.
Please join the SAC PAL kids as they receive various awards for their achievements and participation in our Fitness Boot Camp. This will be a great opportunity to support the SAC PAL kids.
