The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a shooting that led to the death of 19-year-old Christopher Xiong.

On August 31, 2010, at 9:09 p.m., officers responded to the 7600 block of 52^nd Avenue on sounds of gunshots.  Officers arrived and found victim Christopher Xiong shot in front of his residence.  Xiong was transported to the hospital where he later died.
