Stranger Danger

Police Warn of a Possible Child Abduction Attempt

The Sacramento Police Department wants to make the community aware of a suspicious man who reportedly tried to lure a young girl into his vehicle.

On Tuesday, September 28, 2010, a 13-year-old girl was walking in the area of 39th Street and H Street when a vehicle pulled up next to her.  The male driver engaged the girl in conversation then opened the door to his car and demanded that she get in.  The girl yelled for help and ran away to safety.  The suspect then drove away.

The suspect was described as a male White adult in his 30's.  He had brown hair, brown eyes, and was clean shaven.  He was wearing a black shirt (possibly a tank-top) and had a large black tattoo on his right shoulder.  The vehicle he was driving was described as a light-colored 4-door hatchback.

At this point, investigators don't know exactly what this man's intentions were.  No other incidents of this nature have been recently reported in that area.
