The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the shooting of a man on Monday evening.
On October 25, 2010, at 8:33 p.m. officers responded to a shooting call in the 5300 block of 47th Avenue. Officers arrived and found a 35-year-old male that had been shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded. Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives believe that the victim was outside of an apartment complex when he was shot. Three subjects that were seen fleeing the area around the time of the shooting were described as male Blacks in their 20's. The motive for the shooting is still currently under investigation.
