The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a shooting of a man on Halloween night.
On Sunday, October 31, 2010, at 8:42 p.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Harris Avenue regarding a report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found a man in his 30's with an apparent gunshot wound. He was declared deceased at the scene.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears that a friend came over to the victim's house and found him shot. At this time the motive for this homicide is unknown.
