The Sacramento Police Department is currently investigating two bank robberies where the suspects wore safety vests while robbing banks.
On November 4, 2010, at 9:15 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Howe Avenue on a bank robbery. Two suspects entered the bank, hit an employee, and stole money before fleeing. The suspects were described as male Blacks, in their 20's, wearing yellow neon safety vests and masks to cover their mouth area. No weapon was seen during the robbery.
On September 9, 2010, at 9:08 a.m., officers responded to the 3600 block of N. Freeway Blvd on a bank robbery. Three suspects entered the bank, one of the suspect's held the employees at gun point while the other two stole money. The suspects were described as male Blacks, in their 20's, wearing orange safety vests and dust masks to cover their mouth area.
Detectives are currently investigating whether both incidents are connected.
