The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man deceased.
On Monday, December 20, 2010, at 2:57 p.m., officers were hailed about a person who had been shot in the 5000 block of Mack Rd. Officers located a male Black in his 20's with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was treated by the Sacramento Fire Department and transported to the hospital where he was declared deceased.
Sacramento Police Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene. At this time, detectives have not identified a suspect or determined a motive for the killing. The victim's identity is not being released at this time pending notification to his family.
