The Sacramento Police Department is offering a free educational class to teenage drivers (or future drivers) on driver safety.
New drivers lack the experience that is sometimes needed in various driving situations. Teen drivers are found to be at fault in 66% of all fatal accidents that they are involved in. In contrast, they represent only 4% of the state's licensed drivers. The leading cause of death for all Americans 15 - 20 years old is motor vehicle collisions.
The class is open to teenagers, 15-19 years old, and their parents or guardians. This class is offered in an effort to keep new drivers and their passengers, safe on the road. The next class will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at 5770 Freeport Blvd. Please call 916-808-6126 to register. The class size is limited so call today to reserve your place.
