The Sacramento Police Department has arrested Liana Rodriguez, 32, for the murder of a 37 year old male.

On Sunday, January 2, 2011, at 10:15 p.m., officers were called to the 4200 block of Lotus Avenue by the Sacramento Fire Department. Fire personnel had responded to a call of a subject with difficulty breathing. Upon arrival, they discovered the man was suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene.  Based on the investigation, detectives believe that Rodriguez and the victim were in a relationship. They argued that evening and Rodriguez stabbed the victim. Rodriguez has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
