The Sacramento Police Department needs the community's help to identify a suspect believed to be responsible for at least six robberies in the last three weeks.
The suspect in each of the following crimes is believed to be the same based on surveillance photographs and method of committing the robberies:
On January 19, 2011, at 5:02 p.m., the suspect entered the hotel in the 1900 block of Canterbury Road and approached the front counter. He demanded money and when the clerk hesitated, he pulled a gun from his pocket. The clerk ran to the back office and the suspect left in an unknown direction. He did not get any money.
On January 21, 2011, at 2:15 a.m., the suspect entered the hotel in the 1700 block of Tribute Road and approached the front counter. The suspect demanded money and partially removed a gun from his pocket. The clerk gave him cash. The suspect fled on foot to the parking lot.
On January 23, 2011, at 1:57 p.m., the suspect entered the hotel in the 2900 block of Advantage Way and approached the front counter. The suspect displayed a gun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect fled in an unknown direction.
On January 24, 2011, at 9:01 p.m., the suspect entered the hotel in the 200 block of Jibboom Street and approached the front counter, displayed a gun in his waistband, and demanded money. The clerk gave him the money and he fled on foot.
On February 7, 2011, at 6:30 a.m., the suspect entered a market near H and 20th Street. The suspect indicated he was armed with a gun and demanded money. A delivery driver pulled up interrupting the robbery causing the suspect to flee without any money.
On February 7, 2011, at 8:24 a.m., the suspect entered a motel in the 200 block of Bannon Street. The suspect indicated he had a gun and demanded money. The suspect left without gaining any money.
The suspect in each of these robberies was described as a male White or Hispanic adult, 20-30's, 120-170 lbs, with short hair, a moustache, and a goatee.
